Ava "Rie" had her 4 month appointment today. She weighed in at 16.8 lbs and was 26 inches long. (I guess they start being tall when they stand up by themselves.) That transfers to 90 to 97th percentile. Her head was about the 75 percentile. She smiled and stared at the doctor, but she didn't like the shots. Poor baby looked at me like I betrayed her. By the way, she wears size 6-9 month clothes already.
Alyssa is supervising the brownie batter bowl cleaning. She knows this is serious business.
My parents came over to spend Sunday afternoon with us. We made homemade pizzas and had brownies. You can't beat that. Alyssa was very meticulous about putting her toppings on. Ashlyn didn't want any help and got a little carried away about making sure the cheese got to the edge. They loved helping, but they don't like pizza very much. They ate hot dogs instead.
Ashlyn helped wash Ava's face and head. Ava was a pretty good sport about it, though she looks a little nervous. 
On February 1st, Ava tried out her play saucer for the first time. She likes it better than I thought she would. Ashlyn and Alyssa more time in it than she does. It's like it's new again for them.
